Indian Casinos Report Less Revenue for January

A report on Tuesday showed that the revenues for two Indian ran casinos slot machines were down for the month of January.

Revenue for the MGM Grand at Foxwoods and Foxwoods Resort Casino reported their revenues were down by 5.9 percent. Slot machine revenues equaled $48.5 million.
Down by 4.7% was the total amount wagered on slot machines at the Foxwoods.

Uncasville's Mohegan Sun Casino was down by 11.6% with a $54.5 million revenue in January.

Every month, tribes pay 25% of their slot machine gaming revenue to the state. $12.7 million was paid last month by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. They are the owners of the Foxwoods. $14.3 million was paid by the Mohegan Tribe, the owners of Mohegan Sun.
