These are some of the proposals underway to build new casinos in our state. Additional updates will be added soon.

Richmond - The Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians of the Sugar Bowl Rancheria plan to build the Sugar Bowl casino in North Richmond.

Richmond - The Guidiville Rancheria Pomos plan a $1.5 billion resort at Point Molate.

Rohnert Park - Graton Rancheria to build a 760,000 square-foot casino and a 12-story hotel in Rohnert Park.

Cloverdale - Casino is5 years away - Cloverdale Rancheria - 2,000 slot machines and 45 gaming tables, a 244-room hotel

Ukiah - The Pinoleville Pomo Nation signed a gaming compact with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in March 2009 for a new Indian casino just north of Ukiah. The compact allows up to 900 slot machine.

Plymouth (Amador County) - The Ione Band of Miwok Indians were dealt a legal defeat to their planned $250 million casino 220 acres in Plymouth by the U.S. Supreme Court. The high court ruled last month that land could not be taken into trust for the Narragansett Indian Tribe of Rhode Island under the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934.

Buena Vista (Amador County) - Buena Vista Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians plan to build the Flying Cloud Casino outsie Ione, California. The Buena Vista casino will have 24,000 square feet of gambling, 950 slot machines and 20 game tables. It is scheduled to open in the fall of 2010.

Marysville (Sacramento) - The Maidus tribe plans to buile a casino and 8-story hote on 40 acres of land near the corner of Highway 65 and Forty Mile Road.

Madera - The Mono Indians of the North Fork Rancheria have partnered with Station Casinos to build a $250 million casino resort in Madera County along Route 99. Grand Opening (2010)

Lake County - Habematolel Pomo Tribe of Upper Lake to place
11.24 acres of tribal property into federal trust for the purpose of building a $35 million casino next to the Upper Lake County Park on Highway 20.  Plans include a 20,000-square-foot gaming floor, 349 slot machines, and table games including blackjack.

Crescent City - the Elk Valley Rancheria's application for transfer 200+ acres in Del Norte County into federal trust for the purpose of building the new Elk Valley Resort and Casino.  The land is 203.5 acres located at martin Ranch on U.S. 101 and Humboldt Road. It is about a mile from the Rancheria. Plans call for 9.5 acres to be used for building the casino resort consisting of a 40,000-square-foot casino, a 156-room hotel, restaurants, and a conference center.

San Diego - Jamul Indian Village Casino
The Jamul tribe's plan to build a large casino 20 miles east of downtown San Diego became more complicated last month with a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that bars the Secretary of the Interior Department from taking tribal land into federal trust for tribes that were federally recognized after 1934.

Needles - The Fort Mojave Band of Indians propose to build the 100,000 square foot gaming facility. The casino will be located 4 miles west of Needles near Interstate 40 and will be on 300 acres

Barstow - The Los Coyotes Band of Cahuilla and Cupeno have filed an application with the U.S. Department of Interior to build an off-reservation casino in Barstow. The Chemehuevi tribe have also expressed interest but have not yet filed a federal application.

Tentynine Palms - The Twentynine Palms Band of Mission Indians announced plans for their new Nüwü Casino Resort & RV Park - 70,000-sqaure-foot casino with 350 slot machines, popular table games, bingo, two restaurants, and a sports bar. 52 RV sites
