Pala Casino to host No Limit Hold'em tournaments |

December 21, 2009 PRESS RELEASE SAN DIEGO - Pala Casino Resort and Spa's new poker room will hold its regular schedule of daily No Limit Hold'em poker tournaments every day in January, except Saturday, Jan. 30. That day, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. professional poker star Annie Duke will host the "$25,000 Annie Duke Free Roll Poker Challenge" tournament. Pala's regular tournaments will start at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily. All 11 a.m. tournaments, except on Tuesdays, will have a $25 buy-in and a $5 entry fee. Each player will start with $3,000 in chips and there will be a $1,000 guarantee. The 11 a.m. tournaments on Tuesdays will have a $25 buy-in, a $5 entry fee, each player will start with $3,000 in chips and there will be a $1,000 guarantee. In addition, the Tuesday tournaments will offer a $10 re-buy for $1,500 in chips. The 7 p.m. tournaments on Saturdays will have a $65 buy-in and a $10 entry fee. Each player will start with $5,000 in chips and have one optional $15 re-buy purchase of $2,500 in additional chips prior to the fourth blind level. The 7 p.m. Sunday tournaments will have $15 buy-in, a $5 entry fee with an unlimited $5 re-buy privilege for the first three blind levels and a $10 add-on. Each player will start with $1,500 in chips. A $5 re-buy will equal $500 in chips and the $10 add-on will equal $1,000 in chips. All re-buy and add-on poker tournaments will have an optional staff bonus buy of $5 for an additional $1,000 in starting chips. All other tournaments will have a $3 staff bonus buy. Add-ons will be allowed during the break between the third and fourth blind level. Pala Casino Spa & Resort reserves the right to alter or cancel any poker tournament at its discretion.
