Huge Thunder Valley ExpansionAUBURN, CA – Last June the United Auburn Indian Community announced major expansion plans for their Thunder Valley Casino Resort. This month an environmental study will be published for review by Placer County and the tribal council. The review process will take a few months, and if approved, the construction could begin this summer. If everything proceeds as planned, the project will be completed by 2011. Thunder Valley is already California’s largest casino. It is located near Interstate 80 about 25 miles from Sacramento on the way to Reno and Lake Tahoe. SUMMARY OF EXPANSION PLAN

"We'll have everything from comedians to rock n' roll and country to Broadway shows - every type of entertainment you could think of," said General Manager Scott Garawitz. "In this area, nothing else even comes close - it's off the charts." Garawitz further said the hotel will compare with the Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons.
