Navajo will build $120 million Twin Arrows Casino in AZ

November 12, 2010

With the land that was recently acquired by the Navajo Nation, the tribe is ready to begin building their new casino. 405 acres of land was bought east of Flagstaff. The price was $7.4 million. The land has been put into trust and gaming approval has just been given by the federal government.

The new casino, called Twin Arrows, will open next spring. Cost for the project is projected to be $120 million. In addition to gaming, the casino will also offer guests a hotel, gold course, and a spa.

This will be the Navajo Nation’s first casino located in Arizona. Currently they operate two other casinos. A third one is planned to open in New Mexico.
