Cliff Castle voted 'Best Casino' for 10th straight year |

July 17, 2009 CAMP VERDE, AZ - Cliff Castle Casino has been voted the "Best Casino" in Arizona for 10 consecutive years by Arizona Business Magazine's "Ranking Arizona: The Best of Arizona Business, 2009." Thomas Beauty, Yavapai-Apache Nation chairperson, said "Since the opening of the casino, the social and economic environment on the reservation has grown from non-existent to healthy and stable. Because of Indian gaming, the Yavapai-Apache Nation has had the opportunity to diversify its economy and establish a variety of tribal enterprises such as Yavapai-Apache Sand & Rock, Distant Drums RV Resort and The Lodge at Cliff Castle." General Manager Trudy Clark added "I want to see this casino continue to succeed and I am looking forward to providing continuing leadership that will guide the operations and service to the highest level of excellence." Cliff Castle is owned and operated by the Yavapai-Apache Nation and is located 75 minutes from Phoenix in Camp Verde. The casino features 660 slot machines, blackjack, and live-action poker. Cliff Castle also offer family dining at The Gallery, The Gathering Restaurant & Bar and Johnny Rockets plus fine dining at the Storytellers steakhouse. For entertainment there are performances at the Stargazer Pavilion (3,500 seats), live entertainment at the Dragonfly Lounge, Shake, Rattle and Bowl a 20-lane bowling center, the Kids Quest childcare facility, and The Alley video arcade.
