The Gathering - An American Indian Cultural Center in The Tennessee River Art Village presents The First Indian Festival.
This is not a powwow but a festival to honor Heritage & Culture. We want this to be a learning/teaching and sharing event.

Flute Playing & Story telling by Tony WalkingStick
Free Admission to the public.
Vendors are asked for but not demanded a 15% honor sales donation to help off-set the center's expenses. All craft items, unless geared towards children, must be handcrafted. This is FIRM!!

Saturday May 17th, gates open at 9:00 a.m.  Grand Entry at 11:00 a.m. Closing at 8:00 p.m.
Sunday May 18th, gates open at 10:00 a.m. Closing at 5:00 p.m.
We Welcome All Drums and Dancers !!!!!!!
Come and join us for a very special event!!!!
Putnam County Fairgrounds, Cookeville, Tennessee Behind Ryan's Steakhouse. Exit 287 off of I-40
Free primitive camping. NO hook-ups. Cold showers.
Trade blanket on Saturday night.
IIC feeds all of their staff, drums, dancers from Friday to Sunday. Set-up on Friday.

Holston Conference Gathering

Weekend event featuring workshops on various aspects of Native culture,pow wow,fellowship,food,and fun.
Spiritual enrichment session and concert by two-time Grammy winner,Bill Miller.
Also featured will be the musical talents of Jamie Russell, Mona Juckett, Emerson Begay, and Jimmy Yellowhorse, storytelling by Lloyd Arneach, and hoop dancing by Jonathon Feather.
Head dancers are Emerson Begay and Vicki Standingdeer, Scott Crisp is MC.
Pre-registration is required for attending entire event.
Dancers who only wish to attend pow wow and concert should arrive after 2PM on Sat. Sept. 20 and be in full regalia for Grand Entry at 3:15. They will receive dinner and concert tickets. Non-dancers accompanying them will need to purchase tickets.
