Spartanburg Pow Wow
First annual educational pow wow at the Spartanburg Fairgrounds. Lots of demonstrators. 20 craft vendors. MC Dave Trezak, Head Man Burke Lemons, Head Lady Brenda Bowlin, Arena Director Rob Watkins, Head Veteran Larry Graham.
Hours Friday and Saturday 9-9, Sunday
9-5. Admission $5.00 Adults, $2.00 Kids
Directions From Business 85 take Exit 4 South on Hwy 56 (Asheville Hwy). Go 2.3 miles to Chapel St. Turn right to Howard St. Turn right to the Fairgrounds at 575 Fairgrounds Road.

Strong Sun Pow Wow
The Strong Sun Pow Wow will be held at Tanglewood park in Clemmons, NC. this year. This is a celerbration of Native American Week-end in North Carolina as proclaimed by the Govenor. This is also a Teaching Pow Wow. This is an inter-tribal event Open to public and all dancers, and others. There will also be a Fluite Concert on Friday Night. Red Hawks Gathered Nations City of King Pow Wow
We invite you to join us for our Annual Red Hawks Gathered Nations City of King Pow Wow. This events mission is to promote America\'s Indigenous peoples music, song, dance, art and unity. Event activities include drumming, singing, dancing, native food, guest performers and educators, traditional and contemporary arts and crafts, art and craft demonstrations, veterans ceremony, shopping, face painting, raffles, auctions and more. Special performances by Bill Crouse and the Allegheny River Indian Dancers. Free admission to dancers dressed in regalia. Dancers must register for meal ticket and luck of the draw. Registration is free. Event hours: Friday, August 20th, 5 PM - 10 PM. Grand Entry 7 PM. Saturday, August 21st, 10 AM - 10 PM. Grand Entry 11 AM and 7 PM. Sunday, August 22nd, 10 AM - 6 PM. Grand Entry 11 AM. Admission: Adult $7.00. Child $5.00. Senior $5.00. This event is held outside, rain or shine. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs. Have a great - safe summer. See you there.

Spruce Pine Pow Wow
Fifth annual educational pow wow. Lots of demonstrators. 20 craft vendors. Hours: Friday and Saturday 9-9, Sunday 9-5. Admission: $5.00 for Adults $2.00 for Children. Directions: From Asheville take I-26 North to Exit 9. Take US19E North 30 miles to Spruce Pine. Turn right on Hwy 226 South. Go approximately 2 1/2 miles to 12513 South Hwy 226. Pow wow will be behind Music Jewelry and Loan. From the East, take I-40 to Exit 86 and follow Hwy 226 North to Spruce Pine. When you cross under the Blue Ridge Parkway it is about 2 1/2 miles to the pow wow.

Ft. hamby Pow Wow
Fourth annual educational pow wow in cooperation with the W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir. Lots of demonstrators. 20 craft vendors. Childrens activities all day.
Hours: Friday and Saturday 9-9, Sunday 9-5. Park opens at 8, pow wow at 9. Admission to the Park is $1.00 and the Pow Wow is $5.00 for Adults and $2.00 for Children. Friday is Kids Day and Children are free with the schools.

Directions: From Wilkesboro, take US421 North six miles to Milepost #293. Turn South at the Ft. Hamby State Park sign and go 1 mile to the park entrance.
