Gissiwas Creek 2014 Pow Wow

We are bringing this pow wow back
this is the pow wow that used to be held on
Memorial weekend by Bruce and Rose Kogler.
So many have asked us to bring this back so we have,
now we are asking you to come and have a great time,
since Memorial Day used to bring snow,
we have moved this to July.
So come join us.
Let the Beat of the Drums move you!
Saturday Gates open to public at 10 am
Admission free
parking - Carload $5 -

Traditional Pow Wow Grand Entries at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Saturday
Sunday only at 1:00 pm.
"Honoring All Nations Elders and Anishinabe Traditions"
Public Invited - This is a family event.
NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR DRUGS ALLOWED
NO DOGS -NO SMOKING ON SCHOOL PROPERTY.
Pow Wow is held at the Middle School at Parkside
2400 Fourth Street in Jackson, Michigan,.
DOOR OPEN TO THE PUBLICV BOTH DAY AT 10:00 AM.
General Admission is $5.00 / or $8.00 weekend
Students with school ID $3.00
Seniors are $1.00
Children 12 and under FREE (accompanied by an adult)
There will be much to see, come and enjoy our culture.
Storytellers, Children Corner, Health Services,
Showing film of boarding schools,
exhibits crafts along with intertribal dancing, drumming and singing.
