15th Annual "Honor the Mounds Gathering"
One day event held in ROCKFORD, IL. looking for dancers to show the community the differences in style. We have vendors, 2 Drums, Speakers on the Mounds in Beattie Park, Miracle the White Buffalo, and Midwest SOARING will talk about current Native American Evens. There will be a Sacred Fire. There will be some reinactors. We start at 10 am close at 4pm Grand entry is at 11 am. Dancers please contact JUANITA at 815-218-8019 regarding dancing so we can have enough food for after the GATHERING. There will be a children's area for the kids do do some crafts some teaching going on. HONOR THE MOUNDS GATHERING is free to the public and there is public parking. NO PETS PLEASE. THIS IS A DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE EVENT.
